Febond Blue Grit is a plaster bonding agent used for smooth surfaces, providing an enhanced key. It offers a mechanical key to surfaces such as glazed ties, painted surfaces, concrete & plaster.

Typical Uses
Febond Blue Grit is commonly used as a bonding coat before the plastering process for walls. It can also be used for bonding to challenging substrates such as MDF, ceramics, glass, pre-cast concrete, MR plasterboard as well as other particle boards.

Instructions for Use
Preparation of Substrate
Make sure the substrate is dust, release agent and also frost free. It must be suitable to provide enough support.
Application
Stir well before using. Make sure the temperature is above 5°C with only 1 coating. A brush can be used to apply, as this will give an even coating. A short pile roller is another option. To avoid missing any areas, a the Febond Blue Grit is coloured blue.
Preserve the adjacent surface splashes removing any Febond Blue Grit before using warm soapy water to dry.
Give at least 24 hours minimum drying time before the plaster is applied. Please NOTE: At low temperatures, the drying time should be longer.
Coverage
Approx 4.5m2 per litre depending on porosity of substrate.
Storage
Store in cool conditions. Protect from extremes of temperatures and frost.
Shelf Life
12 months from date of manufacture in original unopened containers.
